Olayode (Yode) Ajibola is a talented academic and sound sub-surface geoscience integrator, with unique expertise in Exploration, Development and Production cycles of the oil and gas business. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree (B.Sc) in Geology from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1992 and also completed a Master’s of Science degree (M.Sc) in Petroleum Geology and Sedimentology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1997. He attended several professional trainings and management courses within and outside Nigeria. Most of these trainings are in Oil and Gas Exploration, Development and Production, Business Communication and Conflict Resolution and Cyber Security.
He is a member of several professional organizations: American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) and Nigerian Minning and Geosciences Society (NMGS). With over 22 years Industry Experience – 7 years of experience in Academia and almost 15 years diverse and progressive employment with ExxonMobil Corporation (Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited and Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited), he is very experienced and versatile in new and mature field exploitation, opportunity identification and maturation, risk characterization and analysis. He is an expert seismic interpreter, oil and gas finder, field developer, hydrocarbon resource assessor, production geoscientist in silici-clastic shallow marine and deep-water deltaic reservoirs setting in Niger Delta (West Africa) and Gulf of Mexico (North America) basins.
